    Brighton HS 1st - 8th Grade Girls Youth Lacrosse Summer Camp - All Positions Want to work on your lacrosse skills and have some fun this summer? Want to learn from NCAA college lacrosse players and commits? Want to pick up a new sport?... This is the camp for you! We are committed to helping young girls develop lacrosse IQ/skills, learn more about the game, and have some fun! Grades 1-8, all skill levels & positions (Attack, Mid, Defense, Goalie) welcome!!   • Camp Love To Dance

    (Ages 4 -11) It's 4 fun-filled days of dance! Enthusiastic instructors will teach a variety of steps and skills in different forms of dance including jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, pom-pon, and lyrical! Participants will have a blast playing games and creating crafts incorporating the dance theme. Along with learning 3 full-scale routines, dancers will be given lessons in jumps, turns, tricks and achieving the splits. Each trip to Camp Love to Dance is filled with new material. On the last day of camp we’ll celebrate with an exciting show put on by all participants. Please dress in dance attire or comfortable clothing. Dance shoes or tennis shoes may be worn.   • Certified Baby Sitter Safety/CPR/First Aid and Safe Home Alone

    (Ages 9+) Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. One-day class. Topics include: First aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, dealing with difficult behaviors, basic care methods like feeding and diapering, marketing and much more! Students who successfully complete the course requirements are certified in Babysitter Safety, CPR and First Aid. Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early. To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being of younger children without adult supervision. Class will end between 2 PM and 3 PM depending on when students complete the course requirements. Students need a lunch, snacks, and a fully charged cell phone (if they own one). If your student does not have a cell phone, please write down the cell phone number of the person picking them up and give it to the student. Students will message their ride at lunchtime to let their ride know what time to pick them up. Pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break.     (Ages 9+) Kids, would you like to learn pet first aid? Increase your competitive edge by being more valuable to families with pets and kids. Increase your market by being certified to watch pets or kids. Learn to care for the pets in your own family. Have fun and help keep animals safe. Topics include pet first aid, CPR, choking, and more! This is an add on class for students who participate in the Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course on the same day (students of a previous Live Safe Academy Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course can become a certified pet sitter by taking a live virtual class). This program will begin after the babysitter safety class ends. Class should be concluded by 3 PM to 4 PM, depending on when the babysitter safety course is completed. Our goal is to improve your child’s all-around game and help take their game to the next level. Coach Warren has been coaching youth soccer for over 10 years. He is a former collegiate athlete and was honored in the Olympic Development program for the state of Michigan. Coach Warren is very passionate about helping kids develop their skills and overall ability as their soccer careers progress. He believes strongly in helping every player develop the basic fundamentals needed to be successful. Once they have a strong foundation and have mastered the basics, they can advance to more skill-based development. If your player is passionate about the game and willing to work hard, I would love the opportunity to help them excel and improve their skill set.

    Using a Van Gogh-inspired Sunflowers painting, we'll learn how to paint with ACRYLICS. The supplies are included so, by the end of the class, you will be combining elements of his impasto technique with your own bold, dramatic brush strokes. We’ll explore tips, techniques, and introductory color theory to make your artwork unique.     (Ages 13+) Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but simply find it difficult to find the time? In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Since this class is being held online with ZOOM, you will be able to sit at home with your guitar and take this class without any pressure at all. And since the class includes an online book and online follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. Taught by Craig Coffman.

    (Age 18+) Iaijutsu is a traditional Japanese sword art focused on drawing and cutting with the katana while training the body and mind. Equipment may be loaned to new students. By spending the week with The Studio at the event that’s just for actors and actresses! We'll explore the dynamics of drama by training in a variety of skits and plays. On the last day of camp we will present our BIG show!! Participants will also enjoy game, activities and crafts the celebrate the world of theatrics. Past participants will be happy to know that each trip to “Lights, Camera, Acting” is a completely new experience with new material. No experience is necessary to join in on the fun. Help your fellow Jr. Scientists map out a real life-sized dinosaur! You’ll also explore the world of days past, investigate the secrets of the Earth, go on a rock hunt and search for hidden treasures! Please pack a snack and drink for your child each day.     (Ages 5-12) Inspire the inventor and scientist in this Ultimate STEM-Makers Camp! Campers will overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and the most important of all----their mind! With a little bit of ingenuity children will create catapults and forts, and even construct their own working Light Sabers to take home!!
